In case you haven’t noticed, we’ve made a few changes to our website and the language we use while communicating what we do to potential clients. We’re mostly known as a public relations agency (and we are) but we also serve our clients through a range of other communication and media related services. Instead of listing them all to describe what we do when we’re asked, we’re rebranding ourselves as an integrated marketing agency.
Simply put, integrated marketing is the combination of all aspects of communication for a business, organization or brand into one. Instead of each aspect functioning on its own, they all work together to create a cohesive and consistent experience for consumers. (source)
If you’re still wondering how integrated marketing combines advertising, public relations and social media, you can look to Coca Cola. Their “Share a Coke” campaign is one of the most recognizable and successful integrated marketing campaigns to date. No matter how you heard of the campaign, its message was singular. The strong, consistent message and complementary media helped the brand to really capture the attention and support of their audience.
